Baba’s Curd Rice Prasadam

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Devotee from India says : Om Sai Ram! I have penned down an experience soon after we enrolled for Mahaparayanam. You may share it if you find it worthy. I consider myself just as a humble devotee of Sai.

I had read and heard of miracles happening to others but had never experienced one myself. Or should I say I had failed to identify those blessing moments in my life. I share with you all an experience that reiterated my faith in Baba and I realised that my merciful Sai is always by my side and that of my family. This incident happened soon after we enrolled for Mahaparayanam.

Last year early September was very demanding time for my son. He was undergoing the last leg of his training and there was this particular physical test that he was unable to clear. We kept motivating him over the phone and asked him to pray to Baba and put in his best. But luck failed him and he was stressed about the last attempt that was after 5 days. His disappointment deeply distressed me as a mother. I prayed to Sai and questioned as to why He was testing my son. A boy who had immense faith in Baba.

While I prayed I was also angry with Sai for not helping my son. I made a vow that I would not eat any solid food till my son cleared his test. My husband tried to dissuade me as I have many health issues. But I was adamant. Five days passed and I stood by my word with Sai’s grace. My son called next morning to say that he had cleared the test and it all seemed effortless this time. We thanked Sai for His grace.

By 11.30 am I went to the Sai mandir and to my luck I was in time for the noon Aarti. They called me to do Aarti and fan the chamara. Every second I thanked Him for His blessings. All my stress of the past days had vanished into thin air. I stood in line to take Prasadam. When my turn came the lady who was distributing sheera closed the box and opened another box which had curd rice. She put 2 scoops of curd rice in a leaf and gave it to me saying ” Enjoy this rice. You have not eaten for a few days.”
I was dumbfounded hearing a complete stranger saying this to me. I felt they were my Sai’s words. All my doubts vanished that very moment. Ever since we joined the Mahaparayanam, His grace has continued to shower on us.

Faith can move mountains and my Sai did that for my son and me. I pray that may all be blessed by Him. Don’t go in search of miracles, they happen everyday, every moment. It’s for us to realise it.

Om Sai, Jai Sai, Jai Jai Sai!

Baba knows everything and He is hungry only for His devotees’ bhaav and love. He cannot see His children without food. ”Dear Sai devotee-Baba has really accepted and acknowledged your service and Bhaav towards Him”, Only Shraddha and Saburi can sail us through this bhav sagar of life. Love You Sai. Jai Jai Ho Sai.
