A Minute For Baba’s Sewa

I am also involved in Mahaparayan due to Baba’s will and every second of my life is a gift from Him. He takes care of everything. Reading chapters of Mahaparayan is a great blessing showered by Baba upon us.

Today, I am writing this with a special request. We keep on praying to Baba, we offer our prayers and make our wishes regarding our health, study, career, family, relationships and many more. Our list is endless. It is definitely right to ask Baba for His help and surrender all our problems at His feet. We place our total faith plus total surrender on Him. We are humans and we are engaged with our own turmoil and it is obvious. We live in a society and there are many incidents ongoing. Some of us are suffering through devastating disasters, some go through accidents/trauma/burns, some suffering through poor health – malnutrition, some undergoing pain through cancer, cardiac failure, renal failure, some might have complicated pregnancies, some might have a new born child who is fighting with life in NICU, some old age people are being abandoned in the old age homes, some children diagnosed with autism/disabilities, some might be suffering from a depression, some might have committed a suicide or might have been kidnapped. There are so many people who are going through major problems which can’t be imagined, and which cannot be listed and expressed in terms of words. Not only the humans but even the animals are struggling for their existence in their world.

Being the most intellectual species of the God, being humans, let us dedicate our one minute of our everyday to make a prayer for all of the beings on this earth. Our prayer can definitely send positive vibrations to the one who is in crisis. Nothing is great than prayers. Our collective prayers can melt Bhagavan’s heart and He will definitely shower His blessings on all of us. Today, someone else might be going through a tough situation, tomorrow we may be the ones who are placed in similar situations in our life. Let us not pray or wish for someone’s welfare after something shatters their life. Prevention is better than cure. Let us utilize our one minute of our day to remember all those ones who might be suffering, who might need God’s grace and let us pray for their welfare. We can chant “ Samasta Loka Sukhino Bhavantu.”

Everyone of us have to leave this earth someday. Why don’t we do something while living on this earth for the sake of others? Our prayers can help in someone’s rescue. We do not go for sewa every day, we do not do Mahaparayan every day. What we can do is wish for the welfare of everyone through our thoughts. This is a wonderful opportunity given by Baba. He Himself has demonstrated the way of living. He just lived for the sake of others and He kept on serving others. We have seen our own spiritual Guru doing that.

Being a follower of Sai Baba, being a devotee of Sai Baba does not only mean to worship Him at our altar, sing bhajans, and praise His glory. We can please Him when we take one step towards humanity. Baba wants us follow His teachings and transform our lives. This is a Kaliyug and there are so many unpleasant happenings in this world. Being Sai Devotees, we hold the responsibility to make this world a better place to live in while we remain on this earth. We can do this through our selfless love and selfless service. We can express our selfless love through our prayers. Let us all commit ourselves to dedicate this life for the sake of others. I hope I justified Baba’s statement. It is all Baba’s guidance. Thank You.

As Baba had said to Soumyaji in her dream that Mahaparayan is just not for humans but for every small being that exits. Although along with Mahaparaayan on Thursdays, we have 365 Days Sai(daily one chapter reading) and Lesson For Life Parayan(Selfless Prayers) still all of us can always spare a minute praying for Samasta Loka. We will not be losing a minute but someone would be gaining the divine blessings. May Baba bless all with praying lips and helping hands too. 😊 Love You Deva. Jai Jai Ho Sai.
