Sai Baba – Pillar Of Strength During The Crisis

Shirdi Sai Devotee Gayathri Ji From Muscat Says:
Pranaams. It was June 14th 2018, the very day I had to start the Mahaparayan. l was very new to this and was introduced by a friend of mine who saw my deep devotion in Sai Baba.

The same day we got the news that my father-in-law was bedridden. My group leader had confirmed that I will participate in the weekly parayana and the commitment was for a year. I agreed and now this news. We were all unable to understand the turn of events. We had just landed in our Chennai house for the summer vacation and now father-in-law was not able to get up from bed.

With great faith in Baba we brought home my father-in-law, still not able to understand how to start and where to start from. Just knew that I had to serve my father-in-law till his last breath. Slowly things started falling in place. First and foremost I set up the kitchen as our Chennai house is only a visiting home. We live in Muscat. We called various manpower support agencies and appointed a nursing assistant. She was a pillar of support to all of us. She was really God sent! Sai Baba tested us, but He was there in all forms helping us.

My father-in-law’s condition grew from bad to worse. Not giving up hope, every Thursday sincerely I would sit near him and read the parayana. Believing that he was listening and understanding what I was reading, to my surprise till the time I would finish reading he would not utter a word or complain and at the end he would smile. I would truly feel that Baba was smiling at me.

His condition worsened, my husband had to fly back to Muscat due to some urgent office work. That left me and my young boys to take care of my father-in-law. All through this journey, I never gave up the parayana, and Sai Baba guided us. The ultimatum was my younger son had to be admitted in Delhi college and we (my husband, younger son and me) flew to Delhi in the early hours of 23rd July morning, leaving my elder son with his thatha(My older son is just 19 years of age). As soon as we reached New Delhi airport my son called us to tell his father thatha was no more.

Again shocked at the news we sat there at the metro station not knowing what to do. Carry on with the college admissions for our younger son or fly back to Chennai. Absolutely not able to make up our mind, I prayed hard this time weeping and complaining that God was testing our patience. Please Baba show us the way. After sometime, we became a little better, carried on with our son’s admission process. People were really caring and considerate in DTU, they finished our formalities quickly.

At Chennai people from all walks of life gathered at our house to help my elder son. Sai Baba protected him, gave him strength to be with his grandfather’s mortal remains till our relatives and friends came over.

We reached Chennai the same night and finished off all the formalities.
In all these struggles I never gave up reading the Mahaparayan and I am sure only Sai Baba saw us through these trying moments.

My faith and trust in Sai Baba only became multifold after this incident. I understood one thing, true and complete submission to Baba’s feet will see us out of any difficult situation.

All may forsake us but one thing is for sure that Baba will never ever forsake us. He is our support system; indeed the oxygen! He will take care no matter what goes around and will provide the necessary help when utmost needed. His ways are difficult to comprehend. Just believe in the Sai Power and it will help you overcome anxiety and restlessness. Please have Shraddha in Sai and Saburi within us and it will help you sail across. Love You Deva.
