Baba Arrived At The Right Time To Save Us
Shirdi Sai Global Mahaparayan Devotee Praveena From India Says: Sai Ram, I am Praveena roll number 36, of Greenhouse. I am from the Mahaparayan classroom MP-10093N1 Hema Sai. I am here now typing this down to share my experience and also spread Baba’s greatness. First of all, I came across this Mahaparayan group by myself on Facebook. I thought why not give it a try since Baba always indicates something through any sign. Once I started to find out a little more about this Mahaparayan, I became more interested and I felt blessed to be chosen as one of the participants globally.
Coming back to the story, last three years I was plunged into depression and last year was the huge straw. I fell into financial debts unknowingly. I was humiliated, threatened, insulted and called upon with many bad names. I always visit Baba temples on Thursday and light up a diya to Him. Before that in July, I was called for a government interview which none of my family members and relatives expected me to receive. This was because I studied in a private college, so I was not given importance.
At the same time I was nearly molested by a family member. My only solace was God at the time and that was when I realised only God is with us from the start. I started to approach God more and also Baba as a Sadhguru more. Then one day I received the job offer in an entirely different place. I severed all ties with my family but I brought my mother along with me. She was still adamant in not trusting me. However I surrendered everything to God and Baba. In the new place, I started visiting a Baba temple. However it was only for two weeks as then the Corona issue and lockdown took place. I was so upset that I wouldn’t be able to see Baba’s face again. But He proved me wrong and came to me in the form of a photograph through a friend. I started worshipping Him with daily poojas and also meals. After Baba’s arrival, we welcomed Lord Shiva in the form of Banalingam.
And then Baba introduced me to Mahaparayan and also Sai Vrat. In this reading process Baba fulfilled my wishes including cancelling a loan which was not in my favour earlier and also making me celebrate my birthday in His presence at His temple. And now I am happy to say that Baba is showing me ways to settle all my debts as soon as possible. I can see much difference in my face. I used to be so dull and now my face is so bright. I am much happier right now and I am proud to say so. I am still doing my Sai Vrat and Mahaparayan and will continue to do so. Baba has made me introduce five people to participate in this Mahaparayan. Two of them are unknown Sai devotees to me, however through social networking sites, I got to know them and asked them to join the group. They felt so happy to receive an invitation and Baba made them class teachers in their respective groups. They owed their gratitude to me, but I can only say one thing that It was all due to Baba’s leela that these happenings are taking place. I am happy to have played a small role in their life’s happiness and this would not have happened without Baba’s blessings. I believe Baba arrives at the right time and saves us.
My trust and passion for Baba has increased to infinity. Once all my problems have settled I will bring my mother along to Shirdi to get His darshan and I am waiting for His call. I started getting daily Baba’s quotes from another Sai devotee, Chinni. What gives me goosebumps is, the quotes that He sends daily are related to the situation or problem I am facing on the day. It’s as if Baba is communicating with me by Himself. I realised Baba is still alive and He is not around but within us. When you surrender your worries to Him, He will take care of it all. Namaste! Thank you for this platform to relate our experiences with our beloved Baba. Please keep my name and email anonymous. Baba, please grant me the ability to share my beautiful experiences with You and Your incredible kindness. You are forever alive and with every devotee who calls out to You. Pranams at the lotus feet of my Gurus and Gods, Shirdi Baba and Sathya Sai Baba.
I had the opportunity to join Mahaparayan sometime in 2018, in preparation for the serious illness my husband was soon to be diagnosed with. During his hospitalization, I also joined the Sai Koti group and of course, the intense prayers were being said in our hearts but in more tangible ways, Baba surrounded us with His grace. Unexpectedly, at this time, someone brought us Baba’s Udi and a photo from Shirdi and since then, I have been giving my husband a little Udi mixed in water every day. I will relate the miracle of his healing in a separate post.
Life has been difficult, to say the least, in the last several years. We get through, only with the understanding that Sai is walking with us, that He is there with us to lighten our load and make it bearable. In April of 2020, when the Corona virus was raging at its peak here in the United States, one Sunday morning at about 10 am, my brother called with the horrifying news that my sister had been admitted to the hospital in the middle of the night and that her brain had to be drained of pressure and that they were doing other testing to determine the cause for the pressure build up. Her partner, a Dutchman, whom the family did not know too well, called my brother to share the news. I was completely devastated, it came out of the blue, so suddenly, with no real warning.
My sister is a professor in a University in the US and the chairperson of her department. Her life had settled down only in the last few years after many challenges and now this! My parents in India called their Guru, Shri Viswamji Maharaj immediately to seek His blessings. He ensured them that all will be well and gave His blessings. My mother’s faith in her Guru is unshakable, truly remarkable. She has completely surrendered to Him and she is an example of living in complete surrender to the Guru. I started praying to Baba, my divine Guru and God. I started to apply Baba’s Udi on my forehead for my sister and drank a pinch of water. I also started reading Sai Stavan Manjari. My cousin had Vibhuti that came from a photo of Sathya Sai Baba and she started to meditate and apply some Vibhuti on her forehead for my sister. I remembered Baba saying in the Satcharitra that all Gurus work in tandem with each other, they are one and work in unison.
The scans revealed a tumor in the back of my sister’s brain and a biopsy had to be done to determine if it was malignant or benign. Our hearts were heavy, we were all incredibly sad. We were still dealing with my husband’s illness. I had faith in my Baba but I was paralyzed with anxiety, and a deep sadness. I could not take part in the virtual meeting that the nursing staff arranged with my sister and nobody could be with her because of the virus. I kept praying to Baba to give some indication that He was with us in this. When I opened Hetalji’s experiences for the day, the first one was of a lady whose husband had a brain tumor and with Baba’s grace, he was successfully operated upon but his tumor was malignant and he was undergoing treatment for that. The Grace of the Guru! It is not a mere coincidence that this experience was presented to me on a day when I was praying so intensely to Baba for signs that He was with us. The neurologist said that my sister’s tumor was very slow growing and that a surgery was not required but a procedure would be performed to manage it. And at the same time, the biopsy would be done. The procedure was done and we were waiting for the biopsy results. Baba had indicated that He was with us but the experience confused me. The lady’s husband in the experience had malignancy and I could not understand Baba’s message.
Finally, the biopsy results arrived. The tumor showed no malignancy. Thank You Sai! But the challenges were not over yet. The procedure that was done was not successful in regulating the pressure in the brain. Another slightly different procedure was scheduled. My mother and husband called Shri Viswamji Maharaj again and He gave blessings for the surgery. My brother spoke to the neurologist and she expressed some concerns about a second procedure but it had to be done. There was no other option. Whole hearted prayers to Baba and applying His Udi on my forehead for my sister continued. I also started keeping a diya lit before Baba in our altar continuously. The procedure was successfully performed, it was quick, barely an hour’s time. When my husband called Vishwamji Maharaj to give Him the news, He said that the doctors were worried but that He was with my sister the whole time. Gurus again working together!
My sister had been in the ICU for more than three weeks and all by herself as no visitors were allowed. During a virtual call with my mother earlier, she had expressed a simple wish of being able to go for a walk with her partner and going to buy groceries. In my prayers, I told Baba to please fulfill her wishes, to protect and be with her in the hospital as she was alone. From here on, her progress was quite remarkable. In a day and a half, her care was downgraded and she was moved out of the ICU to a room and then in a day to the rehab unit, where she underwent hours of speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Earlier, she was struggling for words but now her speech was lucid and completely normal. After a final scan and about a week in the rehab unit, she was finally discharged. She had spent about five weeks in the hospital and was alone, with no family members.
We were so happy and were waiting for this moment. She has now been home almost after a month and Baba had fulfilled both her wishes. She is able to take a walk and goes with a mask and gloves, with her partner to buy groceries. Thank You Sai. We were not very close to her partner but this illness has brought him close to the family. Twice every day, he would call my mother to give her information and explain in great detail what procedures my sister was growing through. My mother found him very mature and caring and felt comfortable in the knowledge that my sister would be well looked after. Some good also came out of this difficult situation.
While the illness itself was serious and as per one’s karma, with the infinite grace of our Guru(s), the tumor turned out benign, and didn’t need surgery. With the help of a procedure, it could now be managed. My sister continues to have therapists come home for speech, and other areas but her range of activity has greatly increased. She is also able to do some cooking now.
This is a long post but to put into words our Guru’s kindness is not easy. It happens the way He does. Life continues to have many challenges and I am not so strong anymore. But I know Baba is with me and He hears my every call. Sai Ram!

Have immense faith in Baba and He will never let you down! Why fear when we the most fortunate children have our Guru, Guide, Father and our Saviour as Sai Maa? He will not allow His children to come to harm unnecessarily and will always help us evolve on our Karmic path too. Whatever is destined to happen will happen but the shield of Guru’s love can ward off the calamities. Sometimes we may not even know fully what worse could have happened but it’s only Guru Who knows all and would look to our welfare day and night. Let not the tumours of doubts or anxiety ever develop in us. Our Deva Who is the doctor of doctors can heal us physically as well as mentally and leave the medical science dumbstruck.
