Guru Purnima Visit To Shirdi Miracle
Sai Global Mahaparayan Devotte Gowri Oberoi from India says: On the sacred day of Guru Purnima – July 3rd, 2023, Baba suddenly called me to His holy feet in Shirdi. I travelled alone from Delhi, but my heart was full, with longing, love, and surrender to my Sai. What unfolded was nothing short of divine grace! Three unforgettable Leelas that felt like Baba walking beside me at every step.
Leela 1: Baba Quenched My Thirst
As I boarded the afternoon flight from Delhi to Shirdi, I was parched with thirst. I looked around and thought, “It’s okay, Sai… I’ll wait with Saburi until they serve water after takeoff.” Even before that thought could settle, a flight attendant walked up to me, ignoring all the boarding rush and handed me a bottle of water with a kind smile. “Ma’am, here’s some water for you”. ”Why only me? Why at that moment? It was Baba Himself! My Mother who couldn’t bear to see His child thirsty. Who else but Sai would break through the bustle of the world to respond to a whisper in the heart?
Leela 2: Baba Accepted My Offering and Returned Love
After Dhoop Aarti darshan that evening, I offered two packets of sweets to Baba. The priest lovingly touched them to Sai Baba’s Samadhi and returned them to me. As I stepped outside and walked toward the stairs, a Sansthan staff member appeared from nowhere and handed me two pieces of Adirasam which is my most favourite sweet! Baba had accepted my sweets and returned them multiplied with love in the exact form that I cherish most. What a tender, playful way to say, “I accept your devotion, My child.”

Leela 3: Baba Gave Me The Chance To Light His Flame
I went into Lendi Baug, where I saw devotees lighting lamps on a special pillar. I asked the boy named Prasad, accompanying me how I could light one too. He said, “You’ll need to bring oil and a wick from outside.” I nodded and said, “We’ll get it tomorrow,” but felt moved to at least go and touch the pillar that Baba had blessed. As I placed my hand on it in silent prayer, an old man’s voice rang out behind me: “Beti, ye lo!” (“Daughter, take this!”) He held out a wick and a small bottle of oil. “Diya jalao tum!” (“You light the lamp.”).

My heart trembled. Tears filled my eyes. I lit the diya as guided gently by this elder person. At that moment, I knew that this was Baba. He had come in form, just as I had prayed for. He gave me not just His Darshan, but His light and asked me to light the lamp at His sacred garden. He let me serve Him in the most beautiful way.

In these tender moments, Baba whispered to my soul:
“I am with you in the thirst, in the sweet, in the flame. In your offering, in your waiting, in your name. You took one step and I crossed the skies. To quench your thirst, to answer your cries. Daughter, when your heart calls out in true surrender, I come not just as silence, but as a living wonder.”
My Shirdi trip on Guru Purnima became a sacred love letter from Sai Himself. He held my hand, fed my soul and lit my path.
Thank You, Baba, for choosing me to witness Your leelas. May I always live in Your remembrance.
Om Sai Nathaya Namah. Jai Sai Ram.
