Embrace Divine Blessings: Purushottam Maas 7-Day Parayan

Purushottam Maas, also known as Adhik Maas or Mal Maas, is a uniquely auspicious period in the Hindu calendar. Occurring approximately every three years, it is considered the month truly dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Purushottam) and is revered for its profound spiritual significance. Engaging in sacred practices during this time is believed to bring immense blessings, purify karma, and facilitate deep spiritual growth.

This divine month offers a golden opportunity to deepen your connection with the divine. Participating in a dedicated 7-day Parayan during Purushottam Maas can invite extraordinary grace, inner peace, and divine protection into your life.

A Call To Sankalp: Let us take a heartfelt Sankalp during this holy Purushottam Maas.

With devotion and intention, begin your Sai Satcharitra Parayan (reading) and offer it at the feet of Lord Sai or Lord Purushottam. Chant His names, remember His glories, and immerse yourself in His presence.

With unwavering faith, the Puranas affirm that every sincere prayer and devotional act during this month reaches the Lord and is fulfilled.

Let us come together as a spiritual family, united in devotion, to observe Purushottam Maas in the most meaningful way through Parayan, Naam Smaran, Annadaan, and surrender.

A Tradition Rooted in Devotion

For over three decades, the Shirdi Sai Sansthan has upheld the tradition of performing Saptah Parayan during Shravan Maas. Drawing inspiration from this practice, the Global Mahaparayan team is overjoyed to introduce this spiritually enriching event to devotees across the globe, for the very first time for Purushottam Maas too.

This initiative isn’t just about reading a book, it’s about igniting faith, fostering unity, and aligning oneself with divine vibrations during one of the holiest months in the Hindu calendar.

Why Purushottam Maas is So Powerful

Purushottam Maas is a month beyond the usual lunar calendar, believed to hold special favor from Lord Vishnu. It is considered an ideal time for acts of devotion, charity, and self-purification. Purushottam Maas is a special, holy month that acts like a spiritual shortcut. Reading or listening to the holy stories of the Lord (like a 7-day Parayan) during this time gives you thousands of times more blessings and good karma than doing it on regular days. It is the best time to clean your mind, let go of worries, and feel closer to God. Spending just seven days focusing on these beautiful stories easily washes away old mistakes and brings peace, happiness, and deep blessings into your life without needing difficult rituals.

Performing Parayan during this period aligns us with these divine qualities.

This sacred practice:

  • Fills the heart with peace and devotion
  • Strengthens faith and spiritual resolve
  • Removes obstacles and negative influences
  • Invites Lord Purushottam’s abundant blessings into our lives

Every chapter read or mantra chanted becomes a step closer to inner transformation and divine connection.

Remember, anything done in a group multiplies the blessings! Your Saptah becomes a MahaSaptah, and Annadaan transforms into a MahaAnnadaan.a step closer to inner transformation and divine connection.

Also Anything done in Group Multiplies the Blessings Your Saptaah becomes a MahaSaptaah and Annadaan transforms into a MahaAnnadaan.

One can chant what lifts them up spiritually like Om Sairam, Jai Sairam or any mantra they like.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the duration of the Parayan?
You are expected to complete the entire Sai Satcharitra in 7 days, from June 9 (Tuesday) to June 15 (Monday), 2026. If you start late then either cover up by reading few extra chapters everyday or your 7 days in continuity.

2. How many chapters should I read daily?
Follow the daily schedule shared in your WhatsApp group. You will read a few chapters each day to complete the book in 7 days.

3. Can I listen to audio or watch videos instead of reading?
Yes. You may read, listen to audio, or watch videos of Sai Satcharitra chapters. What matters is understanding the content and applying Baba’s teachings in daily life.

4. What if I get my menstrual cycle during the Parayan?
Ladies may continue their Parayan by listening to the chapters or reading from a PDF during their periods. Spiritual intent and devotion matter most.

5. Can I join the Parayan late?
Yes. If you join late, you can catch up on missed chapters and still complete the Parayan by June 15th, aligning with Global MahaParayan MahaSaptah.

6. What should I do on the final day of Parayan?
On the last day visit temple and offer prasad to Baba (home made or ready made) and also do some Annadaan. As whenever we do something in group it value or significance increases many folds. So your Saptaah will become a MahaSaptaah and Annadaan will become MahaAnnadaan!

7. Can I switch languages or media formats during Parayan?
Language or medium of parayan (audio/text/video) is not a bar. You can switch the languages or medium in between too. What is important is understanding and completing the parayan and then also the implementing the teachings of Baba in your daily life step by step(which is most important).

8. What is the purpose of the daily voting in the WhatsApp group?
You have to vote on the poll provided in the group. Even if you have completed reading further chapters vote only for that day. Eg if today is Tuesday 9th June then vote only for today’s poll chapters 1 to 6 unless your time zone is different. Then next day vote for previous day and current day also in the new poll. Please make sure that you complete the entire Sai Satcharitra in 7 days and read some portion daily and there be no break in between.

9. Is it okay to skip a day and read more the next day?
Please avoid breaks. Reading every day is essential for maintaining the spiritual rhythm. Self-discipline and consistency are encouraged.

10. Do I need to avoid non-vegetarian food during this Parayan?
In Purushottam maas people avoid non veg not only for religious regions but also scientific reasons like poor digestion in monsoon. We would recommend to avoid non veg during your Saptaah. If you cannot avoid then have it in moderation.

11. Will I receive reminders to read?
No personal reminders will be given. The WhatsApp group serves as a gentle nudge and daily motivation. The Parayan is self-monitored.

12. Is participation compulsory?
Not at all. Do what you can with devotion. Participation is completely optional, but once you begin, Baba takes care of the rest.
