Embrace Divine Grace: Guru Purnima 7-Day Sai Satcharitra Saptaha Parayan
23rd July – 29th July 2026
Guru Purnima is one of the most sacred and spiritually uplifting festivals in the Indian tradition. Celebrated on the full moon (Purnima) of the Ashadha month, it is a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to the Guru the one Who removes the darkness of ignorance and leads us towards truth, wisdom and God-realization.
For Sai devotees, Shirdi Sai Baba is the Sadguru, the eternal Guru Who continues to guide, protect and transform the lives of millions. His words, teachings and divine leelas in the Sai Satcharitra continue to inspire seekers across generations.
This Guru Purnima, let us offer our deepest gratitude to Baba in the most meaningful way through a 7-Days Sai Satcharitra Saptaha Parayan from 23rd July to 29th July 2026.
Reading the Sai Satcharitra during Guru Purnima is one of the most beautiful offerings we can make at the Lotus Feet of our Sadguru. Every chapter becomes a prayer, every page an offering of love and every day a step closer to His divine presence.
A Call To Sankalp: On this sacred Guru Purnima, let us take a sincere Sankalp.
With devotion, begin your Sai Satcharitra Parayan and lovingly offer its completion at the Holy Feet of Sadguru Shri Sai Baba. Chant His divine name, remember His teachings, and surrender all your worries to Him.
The Guru does not merely solve our worldly problems; He transforms our lives from within. He teaches us faith (Shraddha), patience (Saburi), compassion, surrender and unconditional love.
As Baba Himself assured:
“If you look to Me, I look to you.”
Let this Guru Purnima become an opportunity to strengthen that sacred bond with our eternal Guru.
A Tradition Rooted in Devotion
For over three decades, the Shirdi Sai Sansthan has upheld the tradition of performing Saptah Parayan during Shravan Maas. Drawing inspiration from this practice, the Global Mahaparayan team is overjoyed to introduce this spiritually enriching event to devotees across the globe, for the very first time for Guru Pournima week too.
This is not merely reading a sacred book.
It is an offering of gratitude to our Guru.
It is an opportunity to walk together as one spiritual family.
It is an invitation to experience Baba’s grace through collective prayers.
Why Guru Pournima Week is So Powerful
The scriptures declare that the Guru is greater than even the gods because it is the Guru who shows us the path to God.
Guru Purnima reminds us that true knowledge comes through the blessings of the Guru. It is a day to express gratitude for all the seen and unseen guidance we receive in our lives.
Sai Baba continues to guide His devotees even today.
When we read the Sai Satcharitra during Guru Purnima with devotion:
- Our faith becomes stronger.
- The Guru’s blessings flow effortlessly.
- Inner confusion begins to disappear.
- The mind becomes peaceful.
- Spiritual progress accelerates.
- We develop surrender and trust in Baba’s divine plan.
The Sai Satcharitra is not simply a book it is Baba Himself speaking to us. Every chapter has the power to answer our prayers, remove doubts and awaken devotion.
Anything Done Together Multiplies the Blessings
There is immense power in collective devotion.
When thousands of devotees read together with one intention, the spiritual vibrations multiply many times over.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What is the duration of the Parayan?
You are expected to complete the entire Sai Satcharitra in 7 days, from July 23 (Thursday) to July 29 (Wednesday), 2026. If you start late then either cover up by reading few extra chapters everyday or your 7 days in continuity.
2. How many chapters should I read daily?
Follow the daily schedule shared in your WhatsApp group. You will read a few chapters each day to complete the book in 7 days.
3. Can I listen to audio or watch videos instead of reading?
Yes. You may read, listen to audio, or watch videos of Sai Satcharitra chapters. What matters is understanding the content and applying Baba’s teachings in daily life.
4. What if I get my menstrual cycle during the Parayan?
Ladies may continue their Parayan by listening to the chapters or reading from a PDF during their periods. Spiritual intent and devotion matter most.
5. Can I join the Parayan late?
Yes. If you join late, you can catch up on missed chapters and still complete the Parayan by July 29th, aligning with Global MahaParayan MahaSaptah.
6. What should I do on the final day of Parayan?
On the last day visit temple and offer prasad to Baba (home made or ready made) and also do some Annadaan. As whenever we do something in group it value or significance increases many folds. So your Saptaah will become a MahaSaptaah and Annadaan will become MahaAnnadaan!
7. Can I switch languages or media formats during Parayan?
Language or medium of parayan (audio/text/video) is not a bar. You can switch the languages or medium in between too. What is important is understanding and completing the parayan and then also the implementing the teachings of Baba in your daily life step by step(which is most important).
8. What is the purpose of the daily voting in the WhatsApp group?
You have to vote on the poll provided in the group. Even if you have completed reading further chapters vote only for that day. Eg if today is Thursday 23rd July then vote only for today’s poll chapters 1 to 6 unless your time zone is different. Then next day vote for previous day and current day also in the new poll. Please make sure that you complete the entire Sai Satcharitra in 7 days and read some portion daily and there be no break in between.
9. Is it okay to skip a day and read more the next day?
Please avoid breaks. Reading every day is essential for maintaining the spiritual rhythm. Self-discipline and consistency are encouraged.
10. Do I need to avoid non-vegetarian food during this Parayan?
Avoid non veg not only for religious regions but also scientific reasons like poor digestion in monsoon. We would recommend to avoid non veg during your Saptaah. If you cannot avoid then have it in moderation.
11. Will I receive reminders to read?
No personal reminders will be given. The WhatsApp group serves as a gentle nudge and daily motivation. The Parayan is self-monitored.
12. Is participation compulsory?
Not at all. Do what you can with devotion. Participation is completely optional, but once you begin, Baba takes care of the rest.
