How Bad Thursdays Became Good Thursdays

Shirdi Sai Devotee Sailajaji From USA Says: Sairam! My name is Sailaja Staying in the USA. I am part of the Mahaparayan group. I would like to share my experience and miracles happening with Baba’s blessings, not limited to one.

If I start to talk about Baba I should start from Dec 23rd 1999. Because I have faith in Baba from my childhood. I used to go to Baba’s temple every Thursday, but I never asked Baba anything for myself. Only wish I had was about my father’s health.

My father was a great person in my life. I don’t know what I want in my life other than him. He was sick on December 23rd, 1999. My mom took him to the hospital. Doctor said nothing had happened. He required fluids in his body and they started giving it through saline. I went to Baba’s temple to pray to Baba about my father’s health. That day was Thursday. After 3 hours I got to know that my father had expired in the hospital. He had a stroke when he was on fluids, no one knew what went wrong. Dec 23rd was the worst day of my life. From that day I stopped worshipping Baba/God and was very angry and decided Thursdays are unlucky days in my life.

My whole family was in a depression due to the loss of my father. Frankly speaking, I don’t know anything in my life apart from him. I could not ever imagine my life without him. I cried so many nights. Since then I went through so much in my life and was not happy any time.

Years passed, my anger on Baba was reduced but I never wished Baba/God for anything. I always felt if I wished for anything, He takes it away from me. So, I stopped asking Him. Just wishing everything should go well. Unfortunately, in my life many incidents (Good/Bad) happened on Thursdays.

One fine day 3 years back, I got to know about Divya Pooja. That day I was totally depressed and I decided to die on that night. I didn’t have any energy to face life and wanted to run away from my problems. Before taking any step I just looked at my daughter who was sleeping next to me and then I changed my mind to suicide the next day.

Next day was a Thursday. I thought of doing Divya Pooja and was about to wish God to take care of my daughter but I always got nervous to ask anything because it had got stuck in my mind that if I asked anything, He took it away from me. But, decided and started Divya Pooja. Somehow, I felt my mind started getting stronger all of a sudden and was hoping that everything would be fine. I dropped my decision to suicide; that was a big miracle happened to me!

Now I’ve started thinking positively, whatever happened or is happening, is due to our fate and that we should not blame anyone. We should start accepting things and move on. We should have faith in Baba. He will take care of things.

Since then I started doing Baba’s Pooja every Thursday. In October 2018, I got to know about
Mahaparayan through one of my friends. She explained to me and asked if I was interested.
I said ok. I felt Baba was only asking me to join and guiding me. Since then I started seeing many miracles in my life. So many issues still keep coming one after the other. But I always chant Baba’s name and feel He is going to take care of everything. My hopes became stronger after doing Mahaparayan. Now waiting for Thursdays to take any decision to make it a success!

Mahaparayan will do only good, there is no question of bad happening. But sometimes if something goes wrong we should try to understand that all our good karmas will not make them happen, infact they will reduce their intensity. Good will only bring us good and same is when we come under Baba’s shelter. Due to ignorance we may not always understand Baba’s leelas and hence we should not blame Baba and instead be thankful to Him for His presence in our life; else who knows what worst could have happened?
