Baba Came To Bless On Guru Pournima Day

Shirdi Sai Devotee Suganthiji Says:
Om Sai Ram. My name is Suganthi Mayilvahanan and I’m a Part of Mahaparayan group for the last 5
months. I’m also class teacher for the last 9 weeks for the Mahaparayan group ‘MP- 2437 SUGANTHI
SAI’. There could be no doubt, that Sai Baba is everything for us and is guiding us at all times in
our everyday life. Once in a while, He makes His presence felt, in a simple way, so that ordinary people like us are able to appreciate the fact that Baba is always watching over His devotees and to reinforce our beliefs in His unbounded kindness.
I would like to share my recent experience which is a proof of Baba’s kindness towards His
devotees.

It was 16th July’19, Guru Poornima, we had completed the pooja and Parayan and I along
with my husband and elder daughter, went out to meet our relatives. When we returned to our house, it was around 9.45 PM. Our house is located in a reasonably calm area with not much traffic or people moving around, especially at night time. Just as we got down from the car in front of the house, we noticed a person lying down in the paved area near the gate in front of the house. When we looked closer, we noticed that he was an old man with a full grown and unkempt beard and moustache, he looked to be very old and likely to be around 90 years old.

I went close to him and asked ‘Who are you sir?’ But he could not hear properly and didn’t
respond. Slowly he sat up. What surprised me was that how such an old man, happened to come to
our place alone. Then, in a louder voice I asked him again, who he is and how did he come here. To
this, the old man replied something, which we could not understand. My daughter told me that, maybe he is speaking Kannada, but we were not too sure about that. Since it was Guru Pournima that day, I had a sudden thought that Baba had come to our house in the guise of the old man. Later I came to know that my husband and my daughter were also having similar thoughts. Immediately I opened the gate and from my purse took out Rs 101/- (As guru Dakshana) and gave it to the old man. He slowly took the money and immediately put it in his pocket. Then we came inside the house. The old man was still there and did not go away. My husband went out and told the old man and pointed to a shop nearby and asked him to go there and eat something. The old man with staggering steps slowly walked away.

From that day, till today we have never been able to see that old man again. I fully believed
that the old man was none other than our Guru Sai Baba Himself, coming to our house to collect His
Guru Dakshana on Gurupoornima.
This happened on Tuesday night. On Thursday, morning I noticed a one rupee coin,
which I had given to the old man, lying near the gate. The old man had left this coin behind. Since the coin had been given to the old man, I was not inclined to pick it up and left it there. I was wondering how I missed the coin for the entire day on Wednesday.
I informed my husband about the coin and started my Parayan activities of Thursday. After
completion of the Parayan, my husband told me that the coin could be one that was given by Baba to us after His blessings for us to worship. I was reluctant to pick up the coin without a clear signal from Sai Baba. So, I put 2 chits, one ‘to take’ and the other one ‘to leave’. Needless to say, the chit with ‘to take’ was picked. Immediately I took the coin and kept it in my Pooja Room for my daily worship.

When I think about the above episode, I strongly believe that none other than Sai Baba, had
come on Gurupoornima day to collect His Dakshina and to shower His blessing on us.

Even though I am a part of ‘1159 SHAILAJA SAI’ GROUP, I was not confident of acting even as a class monitor. One day Shailaja madam told me that Baba had indicated to her that I should be a class teacher. Once she said this to me, without a word, I told her that if that is the will of Baba, I will be a class teacher. Needless to say, Baba is guiding me all through and the group is doing great. I do not know how to express my gratitude to Shirdi Sai Maharaj and to the people who helped me to be a part of the Mahaparayan group.

Sai Nath’s unbounded love attracts so many souls towards Him. All Sai Baba requires is intense love from His devotees. As is our faith so is the response from Baba. He can take any form and bless us and has His own inscrutable ways of doing it. He always encourages and appreciates steady faith and devotion of His devotees. Really a Guru like Sai is rare so loving, benevolent, caring and spontaneous too. Love You loads Sai. Jai Ho Sai! Love You Deva. Jai Jai Ho Sai. 😊
