No Virus Can Harm Us When Sai Baba Is With Us

I am Madhusmita , a volunteer in the Global Mahaparayan group MP-8301N1 Sai Ichha.
We came to Baba’s feet around 2011 and with Baba’s blessings, got the opportunity to visit Shirdi for the first time in June 2012. Since then I have had many experiences of Baba’s blessings, miracles and His presence with us.
I had heard about the Global Mahaparayan from my friends for a year but it was not until 14th group November 2020 when I finally got my inner calling to join the Global Mahaparayan group. It was Sai Baba’s wish for me to join now since everything takes place at its own right time.
19th November 2020, was the first Thursday when I read Shri Sai Satcharitra as part of the Global Mahaparayan. Before that I used to read it on a daily basis and also do the 7-day parayan frequently at home. After joining the Mahaparayan, I and my family got to witness Baba’s one more yet a big blessing for us all.
I am from the city of temples, Bhubaneswar, which is the capital of Odisha and so during every occasion in our Odia culture, me and my family visit Puri, the abode of Lord Jagannath.
In the year 2020, due to this covid-19 pandemic situation, when a lockdown had been imposed everywhere and all the temples were closed starting from March, we couldn’t visit Puri for a long time. Shri Ram Navami, Rath Yatra…many occasions went but we just couldn’t. Slowly, when the situation got slightly normalised and people started travelling, some of our friends also visited Puri to have a darshan of Patitapaaban since the main temple was closed. It was the month of Kartik and every year, by God’s Grace, we used to visit Puri during this month.
This time also, during the Kartik month, we decided to visit Puri and at least have darshan of the Patitapaban ( which means the “Udhaarak” i.e. “the Saviour”). Me and my family i.e. my husband, daughter, son and my mom went to Puri on 28th November 2020, which was a Saturday and also returned home, to Bhubaneswar, the same night. Two days later, around Monday evening, my mom started having high fever. The next day, I had a high fever. Two days hence, my daughter and son had high fever. My husband had a cold but had a lot of weakness and headache. A week later we all recovered. We had had a series of festivals that week including the “Raas-Purnima” or the “boat festival” which is done near a pond early in the morning around 4 am. Hence we thought we had been ill due to the unfavourable weather conditions and lack of proper rest.
Two weeks hence, suddenly, my mom discovered that she lost her smell, my husband also had no smell or taste and to our wonder even me and my daughter had no smell. It had been more than 10 days since we got fever and even got cured from it. So there was no point in doing a Covid test but still we referred to our doctor about it and he suggested getting an antibody test done. We did it and found that we all were Covid positive. But to our surprise, our antibodies were more than enough and in safe numbers; that too without any proper medications!
Everyday we used to take kadhaa with Baba’s Udi in it and that was the only big medicine that cured us all and we didn’t even feel like we had corona. Baba carried us through this tough time and we felt the least possible pain! Truly, when Baba, the greatest of all doctors, is there with us all, no virus can ever harm us! Never!
Trust in Baba and everything will be alright. No matter what, He is with us every single time and in every breath of ours.
There is one more experience about the Shri Sai Satyanarayan Puja. I had this on my mind to perform this puja of our Sai Baba in my home but as said earlier, “Everything happens at its own right time and according to Baba’s wish!” And so this too happened on a very auspicious occasion and in a very miraculous manner as if Baba had Himself organised it on 15th October 2020, which was also a THURSDAY, i.e., Baba’s day! It was decided at the very last moment, around 8pm on 14th October that we will perform the puja the next day i.e. 15th October, Thursday and somehow the fact that 15th October is Baba’s “Mahaprayaan day” had just slipped out of our minds but the next day, just when the puja began, one of our friends reminded it and we were happy as well as surprised how beautifully Baba arranged for the puja to be started on a beautiful day.
By Baba’s grace, the puja was done successfully and now we decided to have it every year. But the dilemma was whether to have it on a Thursday close to Dussehra or on 15th October every year. We had no clue back then but today, 5th January 2021, while listening to your Mahaparayan podcasts, we came across a story where you said you couldn’t decide whether to put a particular podcast on 15th October, Baba’s Mahaparayan day or 25th October 2020, which was Dussehra and somehow you got your answer from Baba Himself, same way, we got the sign from Baba to hold it on 15th October because this year, 15th October 2021 is Dussehra! And Baba’s Mahaprayaan was on 15th October 1919, Dussehra!
Baba has His own beautiful ways of doing things. We just need to have “Shraddha and Saburi” i.e. “Faith and Patience” and He will arrange everything very perfectly and good things will keep coming our way. I am very grateful to be a part of this Global Mahaparayan and also encourage everyone to be a part of it.

Sai Baba’s Miracles

| I started praying to Baba when the new Baba’s temple was constructed near Lord Shiva temple. I was then not as devoted as I am now. One Sunday, my husband, son and I were going out for lunch and we were starving. We passed Baba’s temple on the way and decided to go in and pray. After prayers, we were in the out queue when we realised that the queue led to the meals section. We joined the other devotees and were fed a sumptuous meal. We were indeed blessed to be eating from Baba’s temple. I felt joyous. After a while my husband was transferred to Singapore and my son and I joined him. From there my son moved to the US as an undergraduate student. I would go to Baba’s temple in Singapore regularly on Thursdays. That year I went for a routine check-up when the mammogram showed a lump and my cancer antigens in the blood test increased. Doctors were positive that I had breast cancer and fixed up an appointment for a mammogram the next day. That night I could not sleep due to worry for my family and fear for myself. I kept tossing and turning. Then started to chant ‘Sairam’ After some time, a cool breeze blew through me and I fell asleep. The next day, the ultrasound came out clear. There was no sign of cancer! I was miraculously cured. I was quite depressed as our son was alone in the US and was not doing too well. Again, with Baba’s grace, we moved to the US to be near our son. Around this time, a friend of mine added me into the Global Mahaparayan group and I started reading Sai Satcharitra every Thursday with the group. Our son was in an abusive relationship which was pulling him down and he was getting increasingly depressed and upset with no way of getting out. I was reading the Parayan and soon my son was out of the relationship. He also got a good job which he loves and has started doing well. He has great faith in Baba and regularly reads Sai Satcharitra. My husband too has started reading Satcharitra every day and starts his day with prayers. Sometime in November 2020 during Covid 19, my dad fell ill. He is diabetic and hurt his toe while walking. He also hurt his thigh. Our neighbour took him to a local hospital where he was treated. Yet he was not healing. My sister and I live away from India. Due to Covid 19, we were unable to be with my dad. It was around that time that my visa expired and I was waiting for the extension and could not get out of the country. My husband decided to come to India to be with my parents and work from India. When he was in the process of booking his tickets online, he got an email. That was from the USCIS. My visa was extended. What a miracle! My Baba made it possible for me to travel and to be with my parents. I reached Bangalore and with my dad went to the hospital and got a peripheral angioplasty done. We got back home after a couple of days. My sister too flew in from Dubai. In fact we were joking that my sister need not have come as my dad was well on the way to recovery. The night after she landed, my dad started feeling uncomfortable with back pain and dizziness. Baba brought my sister to Bangalore so that we could do things together as a team and we could support each other emotionally. As a person I am very anxious and get upset easily. My sister though is a very calm person. We rushed him to emergency where they checked his blood and found that his WBC was high. They put him on intravenous antibiotics, but he was still feeling very ill. Then the cardiologist came to meet him and tests revealed that he had suffered a major heart attack. When the angiogram was done, the cardiologist informed us that my dad had a 90% block and that bypass surgery was the only solution. He also did not want to do the bypass surgery as my dad was unstable and he is aged. So there was nothing that they could do. My mom had also started Mahaparayan a few months ago. The three of us, my mom, sister and I sat down in the canteen of the hospital and cried our hearts out. We were also angry that Baba had not helped us. After some time, the doctor called us and told us that a new procedure called IVL could be tried on my dad. We agreed. At around the same time, our neighbour friend gave us a packet of Baba’s Udi which we put on dad’s forehead before the surgery. Doctors performed the angioplasty and IVL and inserted 4 stents. The entire procedure took 4 hours. The doctor told us that this was the most complex angioplasty he had ever performed. My dad was stable and was sent home the next day. I knew that it was my Baba in the guise of the doctor who performed the surgery. After a few days on the 1st of 2021, my dad felt dizzy and doctors suspected that it could be a mini stroke. We again begged Baba for help. He seemed to be feeling sick; one illness after another. We were referred to a neurologist. We begged and prayed to Baba before meeting the doctor. It turned out to be vertigo. At around the same time as our meeting with the doctor, a friend of my husband was in Shirdi and was returning after praying when my husband called him. My husband did not know that his friend was in Shirdi when he called him to wish him a great New Year. On hearing of my dad’s illness, the friend went back to the temple, prayed for my dad and sent a pack of Baba’s Udi to us. What a beautiful miracle!I strongly believe that my father was diagnosed with vertigo at the same time , my husband’s friend was in Shirdi praying for my father! My dad owes his life to Baba. We got our dad back because of Baba. Words cannot express my gratitude and love for Baba. Thank You for guiding us, Baba. Please bless and guide us forever. |

As per the name itself Sa(a)i Baba, Baba is both our mother (aai) and father(Baba). Hence His love for His devotees is boundless. He loves and cares like a mother and protects and provides like a father all the necessities. He knows all in and out as what one thinks, does or is going through. Our unflinching faith in Him will make Him make miracles happen for us and give us even what is not there in our destiny. He knows all our needs and desires. All one needs is to daily take His appointment, see and meet Him either through meditation or chanting His name. Just His love has no bounds, our faith and patience too should be boundless with the belief that He will make all things right at the right time! Have no worry! Thank You and Love You Deva.
