Baba Fulfills Our Wishes In His Ways

On Thursday, I suddenly remembered that I am supposed to go and buy sweets today for Baba, but now the question was how could I go? That time my husband was going out, I thought let me ask him to get the sweets. My husband normally doesn’t listen to my requests, especially for buying something or shopping (he doesn’t like to do that), apart from that he doesn’t believe in puja and rituals, so for prasad means no way that he would buy. So, with a lot of reluctance I requested him to get the sweets, as expected he asked, why I wanted the sweets. I replied that I wanted to offer prasad in the temple. He straight away said, ‘No, I can’t get it.’ Then I pleaded a little more, for that he said, ‘Ok you will offer some other time, but today I can’t buy.’ He left and I thought, why even I was requesting him when I knew that he would never listen. 

I made up my mind that I will either go by auto to buy the sweets or postpone the offering of prasad to the next Thursday (which I didn’t want actually, as we shouldn’t delay in fulfilling the vows). Then suddenly a thought came, ‘that Baba, even though I promised to offer the sweets on this Thursday, it seems I will be unable to do so, but if You wish then You will provide the sweets today only and You will only make me offer it as prasad and fulfill my vow. I don’t have any expectations from my husband that he will bring the sweets, but I have expectations from You.’ After some hours when my husband returned, I was surprised as well as shocked to see 2 packets of sweets(peda) in his hand. I couldn’t believe my eyes. How was it possible? Some may wonder what’s so great about that, but it was indeed unbelievable for me, as my husband never does that.

I was so happy, I couldn’t decide whom to thank, my husband or Baba. It was actually Baba, Who made my husband buy the sweets and made me offer them to Baba, to keep my promise. See, He is the One Who puts all His efforts to fulfil our wishes, and after that, He again puts the extra effort to arrange the prasad, which we promised to offer Him and also He is the One Who is concerned about our vows and makes sure that we will keep our promise. How loving, caring and graceful He is! Neither our words can explain, nor our hearts can contain. I don’t know how to express my gratitude to Him.

Another similar type of event happened today, on Maha Shivratri day, which made me shockingly surprised. I was arranging everything for Puja, then a thought came, what if there will be some ‘bel leaves’ (billwa patra), which are Lord Shiva’s favorite! But I have not arranged that before. That time my husband was going for a morning walk. I knew that there is a flower vendor near the park, so I thought let me ask my husband, whether he will get it. Then, again I thought, ‘Why shall I ask, he will not listen, I know, but then a few days back Baba made him buy sweets, but that was a sweets shop, this is a flower shop, he will never buy puja material.’ Finally, I told my husband, ‘Can you get some bel leaves, it must be available at the flower vendor next to the park.’ He said, “What! No way, impossible. I am not going to get anything.” I kept quiet and told Baba internally, ‘that I want it from You, You will only get the bel leaves.’

I had not much hope that my husband would bring that, as he never stops at a flower shop, never buys flowers for puja. These are very trivial things for him. But I have faith that if Baba wants then nothing is impossible, thinking thus I got busy in puja arrangements. After sometime, my husband came holding a packet, containing all kinds of leaves used for puja: mango leaves, betel leaves, grass leaves and of course bel leaves with a flower garland. I was speechless, couldn’t believe that my husband got those. He asked, ‘check what leaves you were asking, whether it is there or not?’ I felt so delighted to see all these, I asked for only ‘bel leaves’ and Baba provided everything, with a lot of joy and happiness, I did the puja.

Really, whatever we want or wish, we should ask Baba only, pray to Him, then rest assured, He will provide us in strange, unexpected ways and will provide even more than our expectations. His grace is abundant, it is up to us to hold His grace properly. We poor fellows, don’t even know how to make proper use of His blessings that He has bestowed on us, for that also we need to pray to Him.

All may forsake us but Baba will never leave us. He will make our life’s garden beautiful with fresh green leaves and remove the dried leaves. Good deeds will definitely bear good fruits. Let us plant good seeds (deeds) in the garden of our life to get luscious flowers and fruits. Let this garden never get dried up (lose faith). If we surrender our garden of life to this great Gardener Sai then our life will be filled with beautiful colours, fragrance and fresh breeze. Let us root out the weeds (doubts and negativity) and add manure of pure love, faith and devotion. Love You Deva. Jai Jai Ho Sai. 😊
